As the national professional voice of registered nurses, CNA supports nurses in their practice and advocates for healthy public policy and a quality, publicly funded, not-for-profit health system.
Through the Canadian Network of Nursing Specialties, CNA currently works with 46 national nursing associations and offers two types of membership (see Membership Criteria for more details).
As the voices of nursing specialty practice groups and specialty interest groups, the Canadian Network of Nursing Specialties is important to CNA, both for its policy development activities and for the evolution of the nursing profession in Canada.

Note: Annual membership fee is $200 (plus applicable sales tax). Each application application is reviewed by the network advisory committee and their recommendation must be approved by CNA’s chief executive officer.
