2010 ADVERTISING RATES

COMBINED RATES FOR CANADIAN NURSE AND INFIRMIÈRE CANADIENNE

INSERTS/OUTSERTS/POLYBAGGING:

RECRUITMENT ADVERTISING:
General advertising rates apply.

CLASSIFIED LINE ADVERTISING:
$150 for six lines or less, $25 for each additional line.
Line ads must be received typed. For prepayment purposes, a line consists of between 30 to 40 typewritten characters, including spaces and punctuation.

ALL RATES ARE SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE TAXES

MECHANICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The journal is produced using Adobe InDesign CS3 (Mac-based system). PC and Mac file formats are accepted. Digital file formats accepted are:

• PDF (Press Quality, 300 dpi, CMYK or grayscale -PDFX-l A format).
• EPS (CMYK or grayscale). All fonts should be converted to outlines or produced at origin from supplier. Supply any linked images.
• Composite 300 dpi image at 100% size in Photoshop, TIFF or JPEG (maximum quality) formats.

All artwork MUST be converted to CMYK or grayscale before submission and an embedded U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) profile is preferred. All images must be a minimum of 300 dpi at 100% final size.

Colour matching is NOT GUARANTEED for Pantone-to-CMYK conversion for artwork supplied using PMS colours.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Advertisers and their advertising agency assume liability for the content of advertising and are responsible for any claims arising therefrom.

All advertising material is subject to the approval of the Editor-in-Chief. All pharmaceutical advertising must be PAAB approved. Advertisements for any products or services known to be harmful to health or from manufacturers of or companies closely associated with such products will not be accepted.
Advertisements for any dietary programs, nutritional supplements, non-conventional therapies or any other product or procedure that purport to promote health or cure disease will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Advertisements deemed to be deceptive, offensive or fraudulent will be refused. No advertisement should be presented in a format or style that conceals its commercial intent. We reserve the right to add a disclaimer to those for which this intent is unclear.

Advertisers and their advertising agency agree that the publisher shall be under no liability for any error made in the publication of the advertisement.

The prompt delivery of advertising material following the specifications as published is the responsibility of the advertiser and/or the advertising agency. Cancellations will not be accepted after closing date. If material is not submitted by the required deadline, Canadian Nurse retains the right to refuse the advertisement and charge the client.

Advertisers and their advertising agency are jointly responsible for payment of advertising published. Payment is due net 30 days, and interest of 2% per month on overdue accounts will be charged. Commission: 15% to recognized agencies.

Submitted material not meeting publisher specifications and requiring amendments prior to publication is subject to a minimum charge of $150.
